Wild places

The mind I love must have wild places, a tangled orchard where dark damsons drop in the heavy grass, an overgrown little wood, the chance of a snake or two, a pool that nobody’s fathomed the depth of, and paths threaded with flowers planted by the mind.  Katherine Mansfield

I saw this.  It made me think of you.

Of your mind.  Of where it goes.
Of how I want to learn where it goes.

However dark, however wild the places.

I want you to take me there.
I want to take you there.
I want to go there with you.

Wherever it may go.

  1. Haha we see often the dark places your mind goes to dear Kat and even where you go to through your writings! ;-)

hope his wild places match your own.

  2. Maybe you are right, although my mind or I have been to what some consider to be "dark" places, I am at a place of such acceptance of who I am and where my mind goes that I don't necessarily see it as "dark".

Wild yes ;-) Dark. Perhaps not.

Thank you for taking the time, to read and to comment!

    Best, Kat

  3. Sorry that should have said, although my mind or the places I have been to through experiences some may consider to be dark . . .

Remind me not to try to comment on my phone!
